Alongside Gramatik, the multimedia collective known as Dream Big features guitarist and producer F.A.Q, video director and filmmaker Anze Koron and graphic and web designer Martin Kenjic, with whom he has been friends since they were kids, sitting in a small town on the Adriatic coast, dreaming of breaking out into the wide world beyond. Soon after, he scooped up his hometown crew and moved to Brooklyn, NY. He signed to a label, Pretty Lights Music, that gives all of its music away for free, which went hand in hand with his own philosophy about ''freeing music by making music free''.

Gramatik landed on US soil as a fully formed artist who knows how to do things his way. Tracks spread, hype grew, tours followed, and before long his digital persona forged the initial inroads into the US market, landing him both a label and an agency.

He started making his first beats on an early PC by the time he was 13, and soon the kid from Portoroz, Slovenia figured out how to harvest the power of free file sharing to build a following throughout the US & Europe. It began at the age of 3, when his mother would catch him glued to the radio in his older sister’s room, checking out the cassette tapes with American funk, jazz, soul and blues.
“Voyager Twins” is out now via Gramatik‘s label Lowtemp Records, and you can catch Gramatik live on a number of still ongoing international tour dates including the return of his Re:Coil stage design on October 21st at Paris’ Zenith.Gramatik has always been an early adopter.
Whoever Galactic Marvl may be, hee or she looks to be very well versed in crafting tracks perfectly suited for laid-back listening sessions and big festival stages alike. Aside from being connected with the well-known Armada record label, not much is known about this galactic traveller who transcends the boundaries of genre. If unfamiliar with the track before now, “Voyager Twins” is a co-production with the newest mysterious character that hit the DJ circuits, Galactic Marvl. And it seems appropriate that the twins, Voyager 1 and 2, are being honored by a musician with deep appreciation for scientific research and space exploration. Brought to us by two creative masterminds- Dutch motion and design studio Supermassive and illustrator Fernando Leon– “Voyager Twins” transforms the track’s epic sound into an astronomical animated voyage centered around the 1977 launch of the Voyager II. It was exactly 40 years ago that NASA sent two spacecrafts on a journey through the outermost regions of our solar system to eventually reach the never-before-seen interstellar space. Now, the single is being brought to life thanks to an official music video out today. For the latter of these releases, “Voyager Twins” is a glitch-meets-dub inspired track representing an interplanetary sound and visual aesthetic from the two collaborators.
